Due to the joint efforts of the ecclesiastical archives, in 2015, on the 70^th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the death records of many ecclesiastical – Catholic and Protestant – archives from the years of 1944-1945 became accessible for browsing. The aim of the project was that “the archives, by means of the documents in their custody highlight the sufferings of the hinterland … and to demonstrate the tragic balance of the fights with dry facts”.
