Consulting our archives is regulated by Section 9 of our Organizational and Operational Rules (“Consulting and informing the archival material”) as follows: “Consulting the archival material takes place according to the rules laid down in internal regulations as well as applied decrees."

The Research Regulations and the Research Room Regulations of our archives are available on our homepage. The condition of registration is age 18 or older, registration is free. However, the archival services are subject to fees according to the Research Room regulations.

In case of blocked material you have to submit an application prior to beginning the research. Along with the submission of the application it may be useful to attach a declaration of support from a university or a research place, and the director of the archives is also entitled to require it. The director of the archives may consider these and makes an individual decision about consulting the blocked material.
